1. Who we are

FounderDash is an AI product that helps founders turn an idea into a business — generating an instant scored read of an idea (a “Quick Take”), exploring alternative directions, and producing a structured, research-grounded business report. APPEMOUT, INC is the data controller responsible for your information.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account and profile — your email address, and any profile details you add (name, username, short bio, avatar image, country, timezone, preferred language and currency, age group, and areas of expertise).
• Content you create — the ideas and descriptions you submit, notes you write, and the Quick Takes, reports, and other outputs generated from them.
• Support requests — the subject and message you send us, so we can help.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device data — log data, IP address, browser and device type, and product-analytics events (such as pages viewed and features used).
• Diagnostics — error reports (for example, stack traces and technical context) used to detect and fix problems.
• Cookies and local storage — used to keep you signed in and to remember preferences (see “Cookies and local storage” below).

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing details (such as your plan, transaction status, and the last four digits of your card) but we do not collect or store your full payment card number.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
• generate Quick Takes, reports, and other AI outputs from your inputs;
• personalize your experience (for example, tailoring feedback and suggestions using the expertise you tell us about);
• process payments and manage your plan or subscription;
• send you transactional messages (sign-in links, a welcome email, report-ready notifications, and support replies);
• improve and secure the Services, prevent abuse, and debug problems; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests (such as securing and improving the Services), your consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How AI processing works

To generate Quick Takes and reports, FounderDash sends the content you provide (such as your idea descriptions) to third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic) and performs automated web research. These providers process your inputs to produce outputs.

Under our agreements with these providers, your content is not used to train their models. Even so, please do not submit sensitive personal information, or confidential information belonging to others that you are not authorized to share.

AI outputs are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are informational and are not professional, legal, financial, or investment advice — see our Terms of Service.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers (“sub-processors”) who process it on our behalf to run the Services:

• Anthropic — AI model processing to generate analyses and reports.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting, file storage, and email delivery.
• Supabase — authentication and database.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Google — optional Google sign-in (only if you choose it).
• Sentry — error monitoring.
• PostHog — product analytics.

We may also disclose information to comply with the law or a valid legal request, to protect our rights and users’ safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will continue to protect your information consistent with this Policy).

6. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar local-storage technologies for essential functions — keeping you signed in (your authentication session) and remembering preferences such as your theme — and for product analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, ideas, reports, and associated data. Limited copies may remain briefly in routine backups, or longer where we are required to retain them by law.

8. Your choices and rights

• You can view and update most profile information directly in the app.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account, which permanently removes your account and associated data.
• Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to the processing of your personal information.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@founderdash.com. For California residents: we do not sell personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. Sign-in is passwordless, so there is no password that can be reused or stolen. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International users

We are based in the United States and process information there and in the regions where our service providers operate. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
